What Subller Does

The Tender Search Tool That Actually Helps You Get Tenders and Not Miss Any:

The tenders on etenders.gov.za are not static. Meaning that the tenders that you see when you are on a certain page might not be the same when you reload the page. It is not like as when you flip through a normal physical book from left to right.

When tenders are published, the content moves forward. This leads you to seeing the same tenders.

When they expire they move backwards meaning you then miss tenders as you progress forward. To further complicate things is the fact that this process happens simultaneously. So now you can see that paging through the tenders is futile.

 

You can however search by category. This helps you if the tenders are listed under your desired category. There are many categories in the system including various listed under ‘Other’ – which is the bulk of where the tenders are. Approximately half of all the tenders will be listed under these sections at a point in time. The vague pot of categories include: Other service activities, Other personal service activities, Other manufacturing, Other professional, scientific and technical activities, Supplies: General, Services: General.

Here is a scenario.

A construction or catering company misses a tender listed under Sports activities and amusement and recreation activities if the construction was for swimming pool facilities, or the tender was to provide catering and accommodation services to the department of Sports, Arts and Culture, respectively.

This then forces you to expand your search where you run into the problem discussed earlier.

To resolve this problem we create a snapshot of all the data in the system. In this frozen state the tenders can now be viewed without the possibility of missing any.

They also in addition can be sorted by:

• Accreditation required (e.g., CIDB grading, PSIRA)

• City or town

• Duration of the contract

• Briefing date

• Tender closing date

• Date published

• Briefing

• Compulsory briefing

Tenders also of course can be sorted by Province, Category, Organ of State and Type here as you can on the etender.gov.za website.

Filter and Search Function:
